We are Shannon and Christine—the brain power, creative eyes, and some might say the yin and yang behind the Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula wedding photography and videography business, Sorrento Wedding Photography and Films.

We started Sorrento Weddings, located on the Mornington Peninsula, after realising just how much we loved the wedding industry while photographing a few friends weddings alongside our advertising and commercial photography work. Weddings quickly turned into a passion that we haven’t been able to stop chasing since! In the last ten years, we have made it our mission to provide every couple with our extensive knowledge when it comes to capturing beautiful images that you will look back on for years to come.

We photograph our weddings in an editorial style using amazing high-end medium format cameras. We also prefer natural, candid photography, and never over correct or use heavy filters while editing to maintain the look and feel of your wedding day. We also offer expert videography to help capture all of your beautiful moments in motion through our bespoke wedding films.

Our goal is to give each of our couple’s an exceptional experience and work with them to create timeless photos and films of their wedding day. We promise to help calm any wedding day nerves and even help pin a boutonnière or two! Over 400 weddings later, we are fortunate to have had the opportunity to capture many different types of love including civil, religious, and same-sex ceremonies, as well as being featured in and recognised by multiple publications including Bride Magazine, Cosmopolitan Bride, Style Me Pretty, and more! Whether your wedding is on the beach of the Mornington Peninsula or an intimate gathering in the Yarra Valley, you can count on us to be there!

When we’re not celebrating with our couples behind the camera, you can find Shannon chatting with locals over a cup of coffee at one of our local coffee shops, kiteboarding if the wind is right and myself (Christine) exploring the walking tracks of the Peninsula or getting lost in a book, or hanging on the beach with our beautiful daughter, Phillipa.
